The fall semester is in full swing and tuition is due! Be sure to clear your student account balance at the beginning of the semester, there are serious consequences if you wait!
- Some schools will purge you from classes you are currently enrolled in. You won’t be able to re-register for your classes until the balance is paid – and you aren’t guaranteed a spot in the class. If it fills up, you’re out of luck.
- You could have a block placed on your transcript. This can prevent you from participating in any on-campus activities and using facilities like the gym or student center. If you wait too long, late fees can be charged as well.
- Unpaid balances can result in obstacles for next semester’s enrollment in classes, application for on-campus housing, and participation in any on-campus activities.
If you’re a returning college student, failure to close out a lingering account balance can strip you of student status at school. Don’t make the mistake of waiting to pay a balance on your student account! If financial and/or federal aid does not cover the full cost of tuition or additional school-related expenses, a private student loan can help close the gap.
